Operationally, store technicians leveraged the SG100 to reach serial-only controllers remotely, minimizing site visits. During a seasonal seafood promotion that demanded temporary display coolers, staff simply plugged the RS485 loop into the SG100, and standardized mappings made analytics and alerting instant. The device’s deterministic serial handling meant control loops kept their timing, even as IP traffic ebbed and flowed.

Self-checkout reliability improved as well. With application-aware link management, the SG100 elevated SCO authorization to top priority.
